ISABEL MARANT POUR H&M

OK. I'm sure you already know everything about it. During the past two weeks it was the name on everybody's lips: Isabel Marant (I mean, how can you not talk about her?).
For me, she represents the ultimate cool parisian woman (along with her bff madame Alt, of course) and if I could swap wardrobes with hers overnight, I'd do it in an instant.

Even though I already had a glimpse of it at the office, today I got to see it entirely. The clothes have that typical Marant attitude, with a loose cut that makes them very sexy. It's cool, but without trying too hard.

What else can I say...it was a Parisian fashion heaven!

H&M AUTUMN 2013 COLLECTION

I must confess, when I arrived at the H&M Showroom for the Preview event of its Autumn 2013 collection, I didn't expect it will turn into a real party. The DJ was playing the latest Daft Punk song, cocktails were rolling at the bar, everybody was having a good time and of course, the clothes were stunning!

The collection was breathtaking, combining masculine and feminine style, which created an overall theatrical atmosphere. The jackets had a geometrical shape and some were embellished with bohemian elements, while the dresses had a delicate cut. The key pieces of the collection were the tail coat and the sequin dress, the black leather trousers, and the bohemian style vest. The accessories were vintage inspired, the over-the-knee boots and the cap strongly reminded me of Brigitte Bardot.

I especially liked the dark colours of the collection: black, khaki, navy blue, with subtle red and metallic touches. The fabrics were very high-quality - wool, cotton, velvet, jersey, fake fur, leather and silk, giving a luxurious look to the clothes.

Starting the 5th of September, the collection will be available in over 200 H&M selected stores and also online. And that's not it - they will also release a Home Decor line here in Romania.

One more thing - this morning H&M announced its autumn collaboration with Parisian designer Isabel Marant! I nearly fell off my chair when I read about it!

On Thursday I got to see the H&M Autumn 2013 Collection, which was presented at Paris Fashion Week last spring. All I'm gonna say now is that H&M prepared a lot of surprises for next season, so make sure you stick around. I promise to share all the details with you next week.

Have a fun week-end!

THE PIN-UP CHALLENGE

Yesterday Stylecorner.ro asked a few bloggers to style a look based on the pin-up trend for the Women for Women vintage fashion fair. Truth is, pin-up was never a part of my style, so I wanted to create an outfit that will be inspired from it, but at the same time still look like me. I paired a pencil skirt from Mango in snake print (which is very in this season) with a crop top from H&M (also a must-have for Spring-Summer 2013) and a leather jacket. I wanted to do a simple, modern, elegant look with a pin-up influence, that you can easily wear today.

Thank you Stylecorner for inviting me!

LAST WEEK

Last week I got to attend several events: the Sephora Psychedelic Party, Fashion's Night Out, BSB store opening and Il Passo's party to celebrate their new collection. Ouf! Now that I think of, it was a pretty busy week, but a lot of fun too! Of course my camera "died" because I forgot to recharge the battery (as usual), so the photos are not so sharp. The first photos are from Remy Holwick's fashion show, which was very fresh and the next ones from Sephora. While browsing through the new products for fall/winter, a make-up kit from Front Cover cosmetics caught my eye and I heard it will be in stores in 2 weeks - so it's a must buy for me! I didn't receive any of the pics from the other events, but I managed to find two. First one is from the BSB store opening, and the last one is from Il Passo. If you wonder who are the two lovely ladies, on the left it's Mona and on the right,Irina.

As crazy as it seems I need to finish packing my bags, because tomorrow I'm going on a last-minute trip! Warsaw here I come!

ANNA DELLO RUSSO FOR H&M COLLECTION

Today I was lucky to see Anna dello Russo's accessories collection for H&M. You've probably seen some pictures already of the snake bracelets and bling-bling necklaces. I sure did set my mind on two of them (and hopefully will be mine soon!) The collection is fun, extravagant and glamorous just like Anna.
Until October 4 (when it will be available in H&M stores) I leave you to "study" Anna's 10 fashion rules!

100% ROMANIAN FASHION - NISSA

Last night I got invited to see a preview from NISSA's fall-winter 2012 collection. Before we get into more details about the event, you should know that NISSA is a 100% Romanian brand based on fashion creation and production, with 14 shops countrywide and also distributing outside Romania. NISSA's collections promote the image of a modern sophisticated woman, offering a wide range of products for their customers (the next collection will have over 400 models).
At last night's event we got the change to meet two of the brand's designers. We discussed about fabrics (90% of them are imported from Europe) about the process of design and production, and how important it is to meet the customers needs and demands.
I had lots of fun browsing the shop and learning about the materials used for the garments. In the end, I chose a stunning golden jumpsuit (I don't have any pictures of it yet) and created a necklace with the latest nail polish from Bourjois that would match my outfit (Picasso would have been proud to see it!)
Check out their collection online here!
