CASUAL STYLE

A few days ago, I was flipping through old pictures and realized that the last time I wore espadrilles was in 1998. "15 years ago?!"  I thought, "Fashion sure has its mysterious ways!". They were green, with a thick sole and of course, from my point of view, they were the coolest shoes ever. I don't remember what happened to them, but I'm pretty sure I wore them until they fell apart. That's what I usually do if I find a nice comfortable pair of shoes. 

One and a half decades later, these Toni Pons espadrilles stole my heart. It was love at first sight and I haven't stopped wearing them since! Last time I wore them with my ASOS Elgin Jeans and a checked shirt. Simple, chic and comfortable! 

RUFFLES AND ESPADRILLES

Ever since Balenciaga released their SS 2013 collection, my mind was set to get a ruffle skirt. I'm not sure you can actually tell from the pictures, (the print is pretty much hypnotising), but it has just one, very cool ruffle at the bottom. This type of skirt you should match it with an oversized shirt, or a grey plain T-shirt. It's perfect for summer weather and has a more fresh look than the regular mini skirts we all know and have in our wardrobes.

ESPADRILLES

When was the last time you wore espadrilles? Most probably in the 90s. 

Neon pink and zebra print espadrilles from Stella McCartney, Washed out espadrilles from ASOS, multicolored from Zara, denim and stripes from ASOS, the ones on the left corner from Louboutin, and of course, the famous Chanel espadrilles. 

Yes, you guessed...espadrilles are cool again!
