Yes it's an Instaweek post, because I had no time to update the blog. This week I've been super busy, working on interesting projects with Miruna and Adina. I'm excited to share with you the final results, but you will have to be a little bit patient. Until then, you can follow me on Instagram @thestunninglook for more frequent updates. Tomorrow we'll be back in the studio!

MAKE-UP, FALSE EYELASHES AND MORE MAKE-UP
“Beauty, to me, is about being comfortable in your own skin. That, or a kick-ass red lipstick.”
Gwyneth Paltrow
Or some kick-ass false eyelashes, in this case. For a long time I wanted to do a 60's inspired photo shoot and finally I had the chance to do it thanks to Miruna and Adina. The pictures will be up soon, but before that I wanted to show you guys a sneak peek.
I also did some research on cosmetics. You all know Twiggy made the childish and boyish look popular by wearing a pale make-up and short hair. What were essential for this look? False eyelashes! The more, the better. I discovered the first ones were created in 1916 for an American actress, Seena Owen. Apparently the movie director D.W. Griffith, wanted her to have an extraordinary look. A wig-maker created the first falsies, so long that they touched her cheeks when she was blinking. However, only some decades later these became a fashion essential. Twiggy, Sophia Loren and Elizabeth Taylor are just a few of the stars who helped making them popular.

BEHIND THE CAMERA - SPRING WONDERLAND
Shooting outside a studio is always tricky and unpredictable: the weather (which in our case was super sunny) the location (super crowded) or any other small problem that pops-out on the way (people starring and taking pictures of us).
We started preparing for the shoot (hair and make-up) early in the morning and I am very thankful to Diana who was kind enough to help us on the last minute. The make-up was 50's inspired, but very fresh and sweet and the hair styled in a simple hair bun. You saw the final result, our model looked just like a doll!
The concept was to capture the spring mood, so we choose as location the park. Mariana did a great job (as usual) and Crina stunned everyone! I still am very excited of how the pictures turned out! Also many thanks to Corina who took these "behind the camera" pics! Prepare to see her soon in a stunning editorial.
