The grunge trend seen this season at Dries Van Noten, Alexander Wang and Rodarte.
A layer on top of a layer on top of another layer and so on. That's the key to a good grunge inspired outfit. Also keeping the outfit chic and stylish will be a must. You wouldn't want to look as if you took the time machine back in '94 and ended up in 2013.
I'm wearing a Kookai coat, Mango denim jacket, and an H&M bag and shirt (find a similar one here).

I'm a big fan of the grunge trend and love your interpretation of it. I probably would have taken it one step further and worn boots.
