THE FASHIONISTA'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY

Maybe it's too early to talk about the next season's trends ( fall winter 2012 to be more specific), but I just can't help myself. Call it the 5th Element, Star Trek, or just some more freak show material but some designers this season really tried something different. Even Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel went on a trip to the dark side of the cristals. Personally, I can't wait to see some celebrities (and I'm expecting Lady Gaga or Nicki Minaj) to wear that bubble dress entirely made out of ruffles from Alexander Mcqueen. And I'm sure one of them will. For a more down to earth side of this trend take a look at the Balenciaga FW 2012 collection. Nicolas Ghesquiere did it again! The girls looked like some hardcore computer game players wearing sweatshirts with nerdy slogans (JOIN A WEIRD TRIP) but looking cool and sophisticated.

What do you say? Are you up for a "out of this planet-ET" look?
